Dr. Caoilinn Monks is a partner in the practice for over 10 years now. She has a special interest in Children’s health, having spent a number of years in Paediatrics, prior to moving to General Practice.
She has attained the Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Physician’s of Ireland.
She also has a special interest in Women’s health and is a tutor in LARC (Long Acting Reversible Contraception), which includes the insertion of contraceptives, including the coil and implanon.
She combines this interest, with Diploma in Medicine for the Elderly, and has a particular interest in prevention of Osteoporosis.
Dr Madigan is a native of North Cork and has joined the practice over 10 years ago.
She has a special interest in Child Health and Women’s Health.
Dr Madigan has developed an interest in Sports Medicine having recently completed the ICGP Diploma in Musculosketal Medicine.
Dr Andy Lyne originally from West Cork joined the practice in 2001.
Andy has a special interest in Travel Medicine. He is a former President of the Irish Society of Travel Medicine and has an in-depth knowledge of the needs of the modern traveller.
In 2001 he received a Higher Diploma in Medicine in Dermatology ( this is a GP qualification) and has over 16 years experience of treating skin conditions.
Andy is a GP trainer for over 5 years and has previously been a tutor in UCC.
He can occasionally be seen on a Sunday cycling the local countryside.
Dr. Caitriona O’Riordan is the newest partner in the practice, she joined the Tower Medical Team in 2016 She has a special interest in all aspects of Women’s Health but especially Menopause and Contraception, including all forms of Long Acting Contraceptive Devices such as Mirena and Implanon insertion.
She also has a keen interest in Childrens Health In addition she completed a year of training in Cardiff where she completed a Diploma in Practical Dermatology and from there she has gone onto have a keen interest in treating all skin conditions especially acne.
Caitriona is an examiner for the Irish College of General Practice and a member of the examination writing committee, who examine incoming GPs.
She has an avid interest in teaching and continued medical education.
